Committed to the social development of communities around its units and offices, Alpargatas, through the AI, promotes the Corporate Volunteering – The Citizen Employee Program. With regular projects and actions in several areas, the program encourages the participation of employees, their family members and members of the community in activities that aim to build a balanced and fair society.
Volunteers receive citizenship training by working together and become members of Voluntary Action Groups (GAVs), formed by Alpargatas employees, their family members and members of the community, which work together to develop and articulate activities aligned with the Alpargatas Institute.
